Natural Love

20120105-215715.jpg

I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of one of the oldest and dearest friends a few months back…it was breathtaking! The gorgeous ceremony and reception took place in the picturesque mountains of Arkansas; and everything from the beautiful D.I.Y. Decor to the stunning surroundings made it hard for me to find a bad angle to photograph. It was, and they are, the definition of pure bliss <3

Food Glorious Food

So I guess I’m a foodie because I love looking at and reading about food as much as I love eating it! Now I can’t help but snap a quick pic of before I take a bite of some yummy delectable. My hubby says that I should start photographing food often…I think I just might! But for now I just going enjoy my breakfast; nam nam <3

New Beginnings

This year has been very difficult for me. I had a very very challenging pregnancy, that was complicated by other major heath issues, and unfortunately while dealing with all of that I was let go from my job while on medical leave. My husband and I grew stronger as friends and lovers during this ordeal; we have always been very close but living in a state of crisis for months caused us to really live in the moment and to be gracious and grateful for all the simple blessings. We learned to truly live in the present! Even through all the pain, and physical anguish that my body was in, I tried to seek out joy…wether it was watching my kids have a dance party in the living room, sketching ideas for new art pieces, or watching the waves of my belly as the little-life that was growing inside of me stretched and moved. – Now, I am living in a state-of-bliss because my little girl was born 100% healthy (and gorgeous)…and I am slowly on the mend too. I am so thankful for all of my amazing friends and family for all of the LOVE that poured in daily. <3 xoxo

Happy-Go-Lucky Hump Day

My oldest little-one as the Last Airbender <3

Lady (Goo-Goo) GaGa

My daughter loves Lady GaGa; so I was not surprised when she asked to be the pop phenomena for Halloween.  She told me that she wanted to be “Lady Goo-Goo Gaga”; when I asked her what that meant she explained, “I’m going to be baby Lady Gaga because I’m little.” (silly Mommy) I said “Oooo” and smiled. — We had so much fun making her costume…gluing all the mini baby bottles, pacifiers, and other pink goodies to her onezie. Her favorite part of her costumes was the pink pixie wig and glitter encrusted skull headband. It took us 3-weeks to finish all the details, but it was worth it. The best moment was her dancing around and singing Bad Romance before we ventured out for trick-or-treating. I just had to snap a few quick pics  before we started our hallows-eve adventures. Enjoy <3

Baby T

My hubby and I are huge fans of 70′s & 80′s TV shows so we decided to dress our littlest like famed sitcom character, Gary Coleman, playing the tiny doppelganger of sliver-screen icon Mr. T. —  Not only do we get to relive this hilarious classic “Different Strokes” moment our son loves his new mustache! Happy Weekend <3

Rei of Light

“Rei” (in image above), like most of my recent works, incorporates my fascination with transparency and luminosity. This mixed media piece incorporates a variety of materials including loose sand, glass, rope, resin, photography, and light elements. The main image was installed just below eye level, in a floating horizontal orientation, which forces the viewer to reflect on the piece in a non-traditional way. I believe viewing it this way gives a unique perspective and allows for more intimate discovery; while having the illuminated orb at eye-level adds an overall ethereal, dreamy-like, quality to the installation.

Angela Charles

Wow! I feel honored to have been asked to do the album art for Angela Charles’ recent release Every Second (Feels Like Days). She is such a talented singer, songwriter, musician; with an effervescent spirit and one of  the biggest hearts of anyone  I’ve ever met!  — Now I’m off to iTunes;  gotta get my copy and show some love for this amazing Indie Artist.
